Abstract:

The article deals with the author´s (bard) song as a social and cultural phenomenon. The authors of the article rely on the research of scientists and musicologists, who put forward interesting hypotheses about the belonging of the bard song to a special cultural layer, emphasizing its over the genre style. The typology of the bard song is given.
