Abstract:

This article discusses the transformation of traditional religious values of Russians during the revolution and Civil war. The authors draw attention to the fact that the new political reality has determined the refusal of the General population of the country from the religious worldview foundations.This was also facilitated by the decline in the role and authority of the Russian Orthodox Church during this period, as well as non-adaptive destructive acts undertaken by representatives of the different strata of society and the new government with regard to Church institutions and Orthodox symbols associated with the religious idea in Russia.
