Abstract:

The article identifies the cultural and pedagogical aspects of preserving and developing traditional culture in the arts. The concepts of traditional popular culture, ethnocultural education and ethnocultural competence are considered. The types of ethnocultural education are described. Systems of approaches in education, including elements of traditional culture have been defined. The experience of preserving and developing traditional culture in a school for gifted children is presented, with the simultaneous implementation of programs both basic and additional education.
